The review of Nokia 5500 reveals another interesting fact – it uses the built-in sensor to control some of the phone functions by… tapping. For example to skip to the next song just tap it twice on the right side. To listen the previous song, tap it twice on the left side. No need for dedicated buttons.

Sound interesting, but this video (6,5MB) shows that you have to tap it rather hard and that seems to ruin all the experience. It’s not a touchpad’s double tap.

Thanks for the link!
I believe the first phones from Samsung to have this were last year’s E750/760.
It’s a good start. May be soon we’ll see more intense use of motion sensors in samsung’s ui. |
