Address Book Blinking Light Saga Phone Personification No Interface

Single Visual Array
New post at freegorifero – great read, as usual. At the end of the article discovered a link, I’ve somehow managed to overlook. What an amazing idea! Especially the use of body postures.
Want to know how the “next gen mobile interface” will look like? It will look something like this.

I guess a little different though, because I don’t believe in stylus/sensory screen input on mobile phones. And because small screen is not suitable to display large crowd of avatars. But the paradigm will be the same – no more icon grids and hierarchical menus. Just a “single visual array” – list of contacts, widgets, playlists, photos etc.

The important thing is that the carriers and content providers should be happy with the new paradigm. They don’t lose the ability to disrupt the UI experience with advertising, because they’ll be able to include their own undeletable avatars and widgets.
